Celebration's new album, Wounded Healer, is released via Bella Union. It's a release that refuses to be pigeonholed and lies somewhere in the weird middle ground between trippy Indie Pop and modern Folk... The LP kicks off with the upbeat and energetic 'Rolling On', which was probably this album's highlight for me. 'Granite' is another track that has many interesting layers to it. Over the course of the 11 songs (45 min, 46 sec) on the album we're given an insight into the tastes of the band. There's a distinct '60s psychedelic feel to tracks like 'Summer Season' and an '80s vibe on songs like 'Stevie'. It's a timeless album and well produced. While it won't be to everyone's taste, I found it to contain enough interesting material to get at least a handful of months play out of it. 7 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
