Lakeshore Records release the soundtrack to Frank Vs. God, featuring an original score by Jonathan Beard. David Frank thinks he’s lost everything. Unable to move past the grief of losing his wife, this former lawyer has all but given up. That is, until a tornado not only destroys his house, but takes from him the last real connection to the world, his beloved dog Brutus. When the insurance company deems the loss an “act of God,” David is desperate, and is convinced someone has to pay. He decides to serve God... with a lawsuit... It's strange, but on the first play through I didn't really take to this soundtrack. I put it aside for a few days and when I listened to it again it sounded so different to the score I'd listened to before that I thought I was losing my marbles. While it's not an essential score, these 23 tracks (46 min, 26 sec) are interesting enough to make it worth your while giving it a chance. It's a score that works just as well as a stand alone collection of themes as it does in the movie. There are a number of subtle, intricate themes that are woven throughout the album. While it's probably not a score I'll dig out that often in the future, I'm certainly going to be keeping my eye on Jonathan Beard's career. This is promising stuff. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
