Buffalo, NY-based, cosmic rock band Head North release their debut LP, The Last Living Man Alive Ever In The History Of The World. As debut albums go, they don't come more polished than this. The album's singles tackle an alternate world where both God and love are forbidden. There's a good diversity of tracks here from harder, louder rock driven tracks to the more atmospheric and dreamy second half of the LP. The LP contains 15 tracks (49 min, 09 sec) Songs like 'By Presidential Decree' have a mix that sounds very similar to the material that U2 used to release; The guitars, the drums... everything but the vocals. 'White Light' is a standout track for the simple reason it uses, what sounds like an ice cream van to provide some of the music. It's odd, but incredibly effective. The album concludes with 'Broke', which for me was the highlight and left me wanting more. 9 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
