Everything Turned to Color release their debut album, Life Imagined which, as debut's go, is pretty flawless. Right from the first play through there's plenty to sink your teeth into and instantly fall in love with.

First and foremost it's hard to envisage this album without the vocal's of Neha Jiwrajka. This is the driving force that pulls you in. It's only then that you get snared by Bryan and Kyle Weber's music. There's a hint of Nora Jones and a smidgen of Eddie Reader in Jiwrajka's delivery.

The 11 tracks (38 min, 32 sec) are inspired largely in part by Bryan and Kyle's foray into parenthood, Life Imagined plays heavily on the bittersweet dualities of life and the big questions we all must ask. While much of the music exudes a whimsical lightheartedness in mood and melody, the lyrics dive deep into the fragility and innocence of childhood, the significance of enduring friendship, and the inevitable moments of love and loss that haunt us all.

There's so much to get to grips with here, and so many interesting themes, that everyone should find at least a handful of tracks to their liking. Personally, I loved every song.
