For far too long, Holiday Friends has been in a state of flux. While a trio of musicians - singer/guitarist Scott Fagerland, his multi-instrumentalist brother Jon, and bassist Zack O’Connor - have remained as the core of this Astoria, Oregon-based alternative rock group since 2008, other members came and went. But with the addition of drummer Joey Ficken in 2015, the lineup and the collective perspective for the band are now set... Night Terrors is the new release from Holiday Friends. The best (and easiest) way to describe them is a light weight '90s version of Keane. The album contains 11 songs (49 min, 21 sec) and while I did enjoy this pop album, I can't help feeling it's somewhat out of time. 'Heyday' incorporates a fist-pumping chorus and throwback ‘80s synth pulses. There's also a segment that reminded me of Whitney Houston's 'How Will I Know'. 6 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
