MovieScore Media once again teams up with Danish composer Mikkel Maltha, who delivers an intimate, piano-based score for the courtroom drama You Disappear (Du Forsvinder). Based on the novel by Christian Jungersen, the film tells the story of Frederik Halling who is accused of fraud, but his case may get derailed by the fact he has a tumour in his brain. The tumour is credited with changing Frederik’s behaviour, meaning he cannot account for his actions, but the further inquiry into his past reveals that these anti-social tendencies may not necessarily correlate with the mental condition. Frederik’s disenchanted wife who seeks solace with his lawyer does not help matters... Mikkel Maltha (The Journey) music for You Disappear contains 9 tracks (20 min, 42 sec) and represents more an EP than a full blown album. However, don't let that put you off, as what it loses in quantity, it more than makes up for in quality. The album opens and closes with the same theme, although the final track intentionally starts to slowly fall apart, making for a rather eerie sound. It's a beautiful, intricate and intimate score that's well worth adding to your collection. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
