Walt Disney Records release the soundtrack from the highly-anticipated Disney Channel Original Movie Descendants 2, featuring Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, Cameron Boyce and Booboo Stewart...

Given that this TV movie is aimed at a young, predominantly female audience the soundtrack captures the perfect pop vibe. While it's aimed at a younger audience, to be fair the songs will be just as catchy and enjoyable for adults.

The album contains 11 songs (34 min, 30 sec). At first I was a little disturbed to hear how many of the songs resorted to some sort of minor electronic manipulation. I'm not sure if this was accomplished in order to cover up an imperfections in the singing, or whether it was designed to give the tracks a uniform feel, but it's not too distracting.

It's a good, solid, middle of the road pop album. Personal highlight for me had to be 'The Space Between'.
