Lakeshore Records release tomandandy's score for 47 Meters Down. The movie follows Lisa, who is on the rebound after a devastating break-up, and is now ready for adventure. While on vacation in Mexico with her sister Kate, they embark on a shark-diving excursion. Lowered 16 feet into the Pacific Ocean in a rickety cage, Lisa and Kate catch a once-in-a-lifetime, close-up look at a group of majestic Great Whites. But when the cage breaks away from the boat and plummets 47 meters to the seabed, the sisters do everything in their power to get to safety, even as a series of calamitous events makes it increasingly likely they won’t escape their underwater prison alive... Tomandandy deliver another atmospheric score full of energy and emotional shocks. While some may argue that it's mainly background music cues, it does what it does incredibly well. Without even having seen the movie, this score delivers an emotion in the listener. It taps into something primordial designed to get us prepared for fight or flight. From that point of view tomandandy deliver a first rate score for the film... but does it work quite so well in isolation? While it still delivers a strong emotion in the listener, it's probably not one you could put on while you're reading or chilling out. The score contains 32 tracks (1 hr, 02 min, 41 sec). 6 Darren Rea Buy this item online
