Simian Ghost started out as a recording project by Swedish songwriter Sebastian Arnström and after two well received solo releases became a fully-fledged band. Their new album, S/T, is released through Heist or Hit Records...

When I first listened to this album, I had to double check that I wasn't listening to a new album by Owl City. Now, don't get me wrong, that's not an insult (well, it might be but it isn't supposed to be). There's a similar sugar coated flavour pop sound on offer here that's hard not to be caught up by.

The album contains 12 songs (41 min, 14 sec) and while I enjoyed the album immensely as a whole, the one stand out track for me was 'Lose It', which is a little less pop-oriented and a little more indie.

I really did enjoy this album. Scratch the lightweight sounding surface and there's plenty of deeper, enjoyable tracks on offer.
