Portland based Wild Ones release their new album, Mirror Touch, through Top Shelf Records. Part DIY oddity, part electro-pop polished collective the band produce a sound that is hard to forget. And, depending on your point of view, this is either their strength or weakness. Danielle Sullivan's haunting vocals... well, you're either going to love them or hate them. She has one of those voices that borders on sounding like a teenager and so it will either make the album sound fresh... or annoy you. Personally, while on balance I enjoyed these 10 songs (32 min, 18 sec) the only track I really thought was noteworthy was 'Standing At The Back Of Your Show'. It's an interesting enough sound, but it's not something everyone will get on with. 6 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
