Madison Gate Records and Sony Classical release Call Me By Your Name, a mix of '80s pop, classical compositions and songs by singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens, including two new songs written specifically for the film... The soundtrack contains 17 tracks (1 hr, 11 min, 10 sec) and its diversity will either be its strength or weakness depending on your point of view. Personally it wasn't an album I'll be rushing to listen to again in a hurry. While the classical tracks were the highlights for me, it's doubtful that many will enjoy every track on this release. For huge fans of the movie that want a musical souvenir of the film, this is a welcome release. Everyone else will probably be left scratching their heads as to what sort of a movie would have such a bizarre collection of music. It was great to hear 'Lady Lady Lady' from Flashdance (1983) and The Psychedelic Furs' 'Love My Way' (1982), but other than that this was a little too bland.
