Plaza Mayor Company release Atti Pacsay's original score for Budapest Noir. The movie is a murder mystery set in Budapest 1936, just as Hungary was preparing to align itself with Hitler. A young beautiful girl is found dead and no one wants to investigate - except Gordon a crime reporter who has a gut feeling that things are not what they seem... Atti Pacsay delivers some interesting themes throughout the score for Budapest Noir. The album contains 19 tracks (44 min, 53 sec) and represents a good mix of suspense and Jazz-based noir themes. On a personal note, I though 'She's Gone, Violin Solo Version' was the album's high point, delivering a beautiful, melancholic piece that while short was incredibly memorable. 'Prologue. Train Station, Movie Version' is another deep and rich track that will stay with you. While this will be a welcome addition to the music library's of fans of the movie, there's enough quality material here to make it worth seeking out even if you haven't seen the movie. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
