Spanish born Tutti first began playing the guitar at the age of 10. When he was 12, he started writing his own material and formed his first band. When he was 18 he was touring Europe with various bands and over the years has experimented with soul, funk, jazz rock. He releases his latest album, Introspection, through Plaza Mayor Company Ltd... Introspection is an interesting, electronic experimental album. It opens with 'Amazonia' and I thought I wasn't going to be a fan. It was a little too experimental for my tastes. However, this is quickly followed by 'Four Ourselves', a mellow, chill out track that is hard not to like. Overall, this album's 12 tracks (43 min, 12 sec) do sound incredibly retro in their style and delivery. But, as cheesy and dated sounding as this album is, I really fell in love with it. Personal highlights include the aforementioned, hypnotic 'Four Ourselves'; the rocking 'Reckoning'; 'Do Not Scratch Me' (mainly because it sounded very similar to Mark Knopfler's soundtrack to Last Exit to Brooklyn (1989); and 'Sun and Rain'. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
