Plaza Major release Elliot Leung's score for the Chinese action film Operation Red Sea. The film is loosely based on the evacuation of the 225 foreign nationals and almost 600 Chinese citizens from Yemen's southern port of Aden during the 2015 Yemeni Civil War in late March... Elliot Leung's score for Operation Red Sea pulls no punches. From start to finish it incorporates an abundance of atmospheric thriller-charged set pieces. Of particular note, from the album's 22 tracks (50 min, 33 sec) are 'Men of Duty'; 'Naval Commandos'; 'War Zone'; and 'Desert Storm'. But what makes this an essential purchase is the fact that, in equal measures, there are also quiet moments of reflection in tracks like 'Brotherhood'; 'Am I Worth it?'; and 'Threnody'. It's the perfect balance of epic and beauty that makes this an unmissable score. 9 Darren Rea Buy this item online
