Legendary singer, songwriter, activist and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Joan Baez, releases her new album. Whistle Down The Wind gathers material by some of Baez’s favourite composers...

Whistle Down The Wind is Joan Baez’s first new studio album in a decade, following on from 2008’s critically acclaimed, Grammy®-nominated Day After Tomorrow. Over the course of these 10 songs (39 min, 07 sec) it's clear that this is a love letter to her legions of fans. This is a more personal album which gives the listener an intimate look at the music and songwriters that Baez has a passion for.

Her delivery is perfect, as you'd expect, and her take on each song means that not only does she do a great job of honouring the original, but in most cases makes the song her own

This is a beautiful album that will be treasured by her followers.
