Lakeshore Records release the original score for the Survivor's Guide to Prison with music by Sebastian Robertson. You're more likely to go to prison in the USA than any other country in the world. Following the stories of two innocent men who spent decades behind bars for murders they did not commit. Gripping testimony from inmates, guards, staff, cops, analysts, lawyers and reformers, this film exposes the failed “punishment model” and examines the dramatic programs proven to work... Sebastian Robertson delivers quite an impressive selection of themes with his score for Survivor's Guide to Prison. While it's main driving force is ambient background music, it does touch on many other bases and even includes a little lighthearted comic relief ('Westwood') as well as a folk-based pop song, 'Summer's End' sung by Daniel Davies. It's an interesting score that just works outside of the movie. And, while not a groundbreaking album, still has many moments for the listener to explore. 6 Darren Rea Buy this item online
