Lakeshore Records release the original soundtrack for 7 Days In Entebbe. The album features original music by Brazilian composer/singer-songwriter Rodrigo Amarante. In the summer of 1976, an Air France jet traveling from Tel Aviv to Paris is hijacked in midair by two Palestinians and two left-wing German radicals. When the plane is diverted to an abandoned terminal at Entebbe Airport in Uganda, the terrified passengers become bargaining chips in a deadly political standoff... Rodrigo Amarante's score for 7 Days in Entebbe is exactly what you'll be expecting given the film's premise. It's atmospheric and subtle, which is no doubt absolutely perfect to heighten the tension and suspense in the movie. Sadly, listened to on it's own merits (which to be fair, it was never meant to be) it all sounds a little too by-the-numbers. Over the course of this score's 20 tracks (50 min, 06 sec), I didn't find much to engage with. Sadly, it's a rather tame, and not very memorable, collection of suspense cues. 4 Darren Rea Buy this item online
