British-American collective formed in Oxford (UK), Floyds Row explores folk and classical idioms through traditional renditions and original works. Fusing several styles in their new album, The Oxford Sessions, they explore the connections between classical, folk, roots revival, Americana, and bluegrass repertoire... Floyds Row is an interesting project, fusing together the best elements of British and American folk and classical styles. There's a warmth in the performances that is infectious. You know the players are having the time of their lives, doing what they love. This isn't just a case of going through the motions. You can feel the passion in the performances. The album contains 8 (40 min, 16 sec) tracks. Without a doubt, the track that was instantly accessible and left the biggest impression on me, was Andrew Arceci's 'Twilight'. I can't think of a more beautiful way to round off the album. If you enjoy folk music then there's plenty to sink your teeth into here... and if you're not a convert... I can't think of a better album to get you hooked. 9 Darren Rea Buy this item online
