Varèse Sarabande reissue the soundtrack to the long out of print soundtrack to the classic hip-hop film Krush Groove (1985), which includes appearances from the biggest acts of the '80s; LL Cool J, Beastie Boys, Kurtis Blow, Run-DMC and more. The re-issue includes a limited edition cover used only by record clubs at the time of the original release and never available to record stores. The limited edition (500 copies) album is pressed on Orange/Blue Haze vinyl, giving the record a graffiti look in the two primary colours of the jacket... I never really managed to get into Hip-Hop movies, despite the fact I was a teenager when they were popular. I wasn't overly a fan of the music either... but jump forward 30+ years and suddenly this album brings back waves of nostalgia. Some of the music I remember well (even though I wasn't a fan of it at the time), whilst other tracks are new to me. Either way, they all have that distinct '80s vibe - which was probably cheesy at the time, but looking back it brings back nothing but fond memories. Fans of the film will relish this opportunity to pick it up again on Vinyl. This is well worth adding to your library if you're a Hip-Hop collector. Track list 01.
