Varèse Sarabande release the original soundtrack to Bad Samaritan. The album features an original score composed by Joseph LoDuca. In the movie, two young men who valet cars at a local restaurant develop a clever scam to burglarize the houses of the restaurant's customers. Things go smoothly until one robs the wrong customer and discovers a woman being held captive. Afraid of going to prison, he leaves the woman and returns the car to the restaurant. Filled with guilt, he makes a call to the police, who find nothing when they investigate. Now, the valet must endure the wrath of the kidnapper who seeks revenge on him, all while desperately trying to find and rescue the captive woman he left behind... Joseph LoDuca's (Ash Vs Evil Dead, Spartacus) score for Bad Samaritan is packed to the rafters with suspenseful themes. Over the course of this album's 29 tracks (1 hr, 09 min, 03 sec) there lots of variety. And while it may be a little lacking in memorable themes, there are numerous beautiful short moments to discover. Without a doubt, the album's highlight is 'End Titles' which houses the most beautiful segments of music on the entire soundtrack. While it's an interesting and enjoyable score, and obviously works well in the movie, I can't help thinking that it would have worked better as a collection of musical themes in its own right if there had been more segments like 'End Titles'. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
