Silva Screen Records release composer Arthur Sharpe’s folk-tinged electroacoustic score to Will Sharpe’s outlandish comedy drama Flowers, centring on depression and family dysfunction... Arthur Sharpe's score for the second series of Flowers is as dark and tongue in cheek as you'd expect. There are plenty of good, strong themes to get your teeth into, and fans of dark gothic scores will find much to appreciate here. The score contains 18 tracks (40 min, 47 sec), with dark and gothic tracks including 'The Passage';'Omsk - Draft 17 (For Mum)'; and 'Blooms' (which has screams mixed into the background to create quite a disturbing track). There are also plenty of sweet and multilayered themes housed in tracks like 'Auserwählte'; 'Shun's Clearing' and 'Heathen's Wood'. This is an album that works just as well outside the show as a standalone collection of intricate and rich themes. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
