Honest Iago formed in San Diego in 2005. The current lineup saw the quartet of Matt Fradkin, Nick Norton, Craig Vermeyen, and Hunter Knight release their debut, Straight On ‘Til Morning, in 2009. 29 Palms, recorded and produced by Nick Tipp (The National, The Decemberists, HEALTH), is the band's second LP... 29 Palms is another Punk offering from Honest Iago. Over the course of these 10 songs (37 min, 20 sec) I think it's pretty fair to state that you get a glimpse into the make up of the band. The tracks are impressively diverse (within the Punk genre) and so from track to track you're constantly surprised at what they throw at you next. It's a pretty well polished LP which on occasion borders on Indie Rock ('The District Sleeps Alone Tonight'); Indie Pop ('Blue Fairy'); and watered down Thrash ('Am I Late For The Uprising?'). If you're a Rock / Punk fan it's well worth checking Honest Iago out. 7 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
