Gabe Gurnsey (Factory Floor) releases his new LP, Physical, through Phantasy. This is an electonica based dance album that leans towards pop sensibilities... Gabe Gurnsey's debut solo LP sees the Factory Floor founder release something a little different to what his fans will be expecting. Physical is a more upbeat beast. Gone are the cold, lengthy, stripped back deconstructions of no wave electronica and industrial techno, to be replaced by a warmer, easier digestible sound. There's a distinct '80s/'90s vibe here that sees Gurnsey stripping everything down to its raw parts and then building something new from those foundations. These 14 tracks (51 min, 03 sec) are diverse, engaging and infectious. While it's very unlikely that you'll still be listening to this in six months time, for the here and now this is a great album to get lost in. 7 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
