Walt Disney Records release the soundtrack for Freaky Friday. Cozi Zuehlsdorff and Heidi Blickenstaff star in the music-driven, body-swap comedy about a mother and daughter who, strangely, spend a day in each other's shoes... Disney Channel's version of Freaky Friday is based on the book of the same name by Mary Rodgers and the Disney Theatrical Productions stage adaptation by Bridget Carpenter. This album contains 12 (34 min, 04 sec) songs from the film performed by Cozi Zuehlsdorff and Heidi Blickenstaff and other members of the cast. This adaptation brings over eight songs from the stage production; two new songs, including one co-written by Zuehlsdorff; as well as two bonus tracks performed by the cast. Right from the first play through I found this to be an impressive musical album. It's got everything, from the opening pop song 'What Its Like To Be Me'; the melancholic 'Parents Lie' (my personal favourite); the ballad-esque 'Today And Every Day'; and the powerful 'After All of This and Everything'. It's funny, poignant, uplifting, melancholic... but above all it's an engaging and memorable collection of musical numbers. Fans, old and young, of the movie will get a blast from this. 10 Darren Rea Buy this item online
