Glen Matlock was the youngest member of iconic punk band, the Sex Pistols. At only 16 he joined the band and co-wrote most of the album Never Mind The Bollocks, including the hits ‘Pretty Vacant’, ‘Anarchy in the Uk’ and ‘God Save The Queen’. In true punk fashion he left amidst controversy and spitting feuds. Since then Matlock has played, performed and written with many greats including Iggy Pop, Ronnie Wood, The Dammed, Primal Scream, Mick Jones, Midge Ure, Gary Kemp, Wendy James and contemporaries from the punk scene Rusty Egan, Mike Peters, Tom Robinson & Kirk Brandon. Good to Go is Matlock's long awaited solo album featuring long- time friends and recording comrades Earl Slick and Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats)... Glen Matlock's Good to Go is an album that sounds well travelled and beautifully aged. It's a punky, rock based album that is not a million miles away from his Sex Pistols origins. The album is comprised of 12 songs (43 min, 53 sec) and for those of us of a certain age, this is lovingly crafted album that takes in a lot of inspiration and sounds from the '70s to the present day. One of the aspects that listeners will love is just how diverse this album is. Yes, it's all rock-based, but there are slower numbers with a lot of heart 'Piece of Work' and 'Montague Terrace' buffeted up against harder songs like 'Wanderlust' and 'Couldn't Give A Damn'. Matlock delivers a mini masterpiece. 9 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
