Art for Two is a collection of works by composer Arthur Gottschalk, performed by Italian woodwind players Sauro Berti and Mario Ciaccio, accompanied by Naomi Fujiya on piano. The pieces were inspired by sources as diverse as traditional Jewish hymns to Frank Zappa... The basic idea behind the pieces on this album is that Sauro Berti and Mario Ciaccio's instruments play off one another providing the musical equivalent of a conversation between two people. On Art for Two, each track brings listeners into a different shared conversation and experience. Enjoy the intimate dialogue between two musicians, and between the performer and you, the listener, as each song tells you a new, fascinating story. The album contains 9 tracks (51 min, 32 sec) with the final piece bringing in the Eccher School of Music Vocal Ensemble to deliver an impressive climax that really leaves the audience wanting more. It's an engaging and varied release that will add something a little different to your music library. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
