Disney Music and Marvel Music release Marvel’s Spider-Man original video game soundtrack. The score, composed by John Paesano, complements the new action-packed Spider-Man PlayStation 4 story developed by Insomniac Games. Play as an experienced Spider-Man who has spent eight years behind the mask, defeating new threats as they emerge. Using his boundless acrobatic agility and active combat style, Spider-Man has mastered an evolved set of moves. Swinging through Marvel’s New York feels exhilarating as you fly past iconic districts and Marvel landmarks... John Paesano hits all the right notes with his engaging and epic score for the Spider-Man video game. The album contains a total of 27 tracks (1 hr, 20 min, 24 sec). At times I was reminded of Danny Elfman's scores for the '80/'90s Batman movies as well as Alan Silvestri's work on The Avengers films. This is most notable on 'City of Hope'. It's a well balanced score, with tons of atmosphere and memorable themes. You can feel the tension, that is designed to create a sense of urgency and suspense in the game, in tracks like 'Chasing Down the Devil', and at times it sounds more like the score to a summer blockbuster. And if you're looking for beautiful, reflective moments you'll find what you're looking for in 'The Final Lesson'. A sumptuous feast for the senses. 9 Darren Rea Buy this item online
