Lakeshore Records, in partnership with Electronic Arts, release the FIFA 19: The Journey: Champions official video game soundtrack by Hans Zimmer and Lorne Balfe. Powered by both user choice and actual match gameplay, the story driven mode focuses on a single character’s career. Gamers follow Alex Hunter as he rises to the pinnacle of world football after taking the Premier League by storm... Hans Zimmer and Lorne Balfe rekindle the magic they produced for the story based campaign mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2009). Considering the difference in themes between both games this is nothing short of a miracle. The music for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is still one of my all time favourite game scores. The atmosphere in-game was incredible and the music took it up a notch. There are similar themes and beats littering Zimmer and Balfe's work here on The Journey: Champions, although it's not quite as epic in its delivery. There are many beautiful little moments in this 22 track (49 min, 36 sec) score. And I could have sworn I heard a subtle homage to John Williams's score for War Horse in 'Nothing to Fear'. I could be wrong but it appears, as in the past, that Zimmer composes the main theme, which is woven throughout, with Balfe delivering the bulk of the music. Another enjoyable score from Zimmer and Balfe. 9 Darren Rea Buy this item online
