Back Lot Music release the soundtrack to Focus Features’s heart-rending biographical drama, Boy Erased, which features an original score written by composers Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans. The album also features the original song 'Revelation' by synth-pop singer-songwriter Troye Sivan and Jónsi, the vocalist of the Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós. The film tells the story of Jared, the son of a Baptist pastor in a small American town, who is outed to his parents at age 19. Jared is faced with an ultimatum: attend a conversion therapy program – or be permanently exiled and shunned by his family, friends, and faith... Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans (Last Days in the Desert; The One I Love; Wildlike) deliver an emotional, poignant collection of themes on their score for Boy Erased. The album contains 23 tracks (43 min, 19 sec). The music is subtle and laid back, which means that it's perfect to put on in the background. However, the themes are memorable and engaging enough to also hold your attention. The album also includes two versions of the song 'Revelation', a slow pop track which is instantly accessible. Fans of the movie will relish the opportunity to own this musical souvenir, and there are also enough intricate themes to ensure that it can be enjoyed by those who haven't seen the film. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
