Plaza Mayor Company release the original soundtrack to Angels Wear White (Jia Nian Hua). The film is set in a small seaside town, where two schoolgirls are sexually assaulted by a middle-aged man in a motel. Mia, a teenager who was working on reception that night, is the only witness. For fear of losing her job, she chooses to keep quiet... Wenzi delivers some interesting themes for the score from Angels Wear White. The album consists of 13 tracks (39 min, 16 sec). From the jazz-influenced film noir of 'Selves Here' to the Oriental / Jazz mash-up of 'It's Almost Over'. You'll get the most out of this if you're a fan of jazz or experimental music where several influences converge to create a new sound. The album opens with 'Dazed Si Gu', which starts like a Western score before, once again, adding Oriental influences. If for no other reason, this is an engaging score solely on the basis of how Wenzi experiments with traditional styles, presenting them in a new and exciting way. If you're looking for something a little different for your music library, Angels Wear White could be just what you're after. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
