Nero Kane releases his debut album A Dying World which revolves around a soul moved by melancholy dreams and need of deep emotions in a solitary world: love, death, decadence and loneliness. Two songs on the album ('Now The Day Is Over' and 'Because I Knew Not When My Life Was Good'), were inspired by a hymnbook from the American Presbyterian Church bought from an old antique dealer near Joshua Tree during Kane’s journey through California... A Dying World is a stripped back, intimate experience that sees Nero Kane pretty much sitting in your living room waxing lyrical about the world around us, touching on subjects that affect us all. Personally I didn't get a great deal out of this release. The vocals were borderline distracting (Kane is not a naturally gifted singer to be perfectly honest) and these 10 songs (42 min, 22 sec) all started to merge into one miserable downbeat experience. Not a total waste of time, but certainly not an album I'll be picking up to play again any time soon. 5 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
