MovieScore Media joins the holiday celebrations with Kristian Eidnes Andersen and Nicklas Schmidt’s yuletide score for the Deluca Film’s family movie Julemandens Datter (All I Want for Christmas). Directed by Christian Dyekjær, the film tells the story of 12-year-old Lucia, who lives in Greenland with her mother Claudia and her father Julius, who is working as a self-employed Santa. Lucia would also like to study the secrets of being Santa, however, but only boys have access to the International Santa Claus School. Still, she is promised a place if she can find the cure for a a mysterious disease… Eidnes Andersen and Nicklas Schmidt give us a non-festive festive score for the movie All I Want for Christmas. The duo claim that it's "not overly Christmassy..." which is partly true. However tracks like 'Hiding at the Christmas Market' are woven around traditional Christmas songs, so there's still a Christmas atmosphere. The album contains 16 tracks (39 min, 17 sec) with highlights being the aforementioned 'Hiding at the Christmas Market'; the John Barry-esque 'The Krampus Cave'; and the sweet 'The Rescue'. It truly is a magical non-festive, festive score that will warm your heart. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
