To recover stolen data in a progressive school, the FBI’s toughest agent must go undercover on his most difficult assignment yet: teaching a class full of liberal kindergarteners... Kindergarten Cop 2 is pretty much a modern remake of Kindergarten Cop. Arnold Schwarzenegger very wisely passed on the lead, with the part eventually going to Dolph Lundgren. The basic story is the same, but the kindergarten is more of a new age, right-on, establishment where the kids are tuned into a more politically correct wavelength. This is were most of the gags are supposed to emerge from. Lundgren's character is an old pro from a different era and his conflict with the kids should have been much funnier. There are so many things to dislike about this film that it's hard to know where to begin... So let's start with the casting. Who on earth thought that it was appropriate to not only cast the almost 60 year old Dolph Lundgren as a bad ass cop... but then to top that piece of bad judgment have his love interest in the film be barely in her 20s? This makes for some truly vomit worthy scenes, where you're thinking: "Really?!?!?!" The blatant ads for Twix and Uber are distracting and so badly handled that they stick out like a sore thumb. And then there's the fact that the writers basically rehashed the original movie without trying to add anything new - other than a more PC school. The only two saving graces are Bill Bellamy as Lundgren's cop partner and Danny Wattley as their slightly unhinged boss. Extras include Deleted Scenes (10 min, 39 sec); Gag Reel (2 min, 42 sec); and Kindergarten Cop 2 Undercover (5 min, 26 sec). This film is so bad that it's good... and then bad again. 2 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
