Lakeshore Records release the soundtrack to the heartwarming documentary Three Identical Strangers, directed by Tim Wardle with original music from Paul Saunderson. The movie tells the story of three complete strangers who accidentally discover that they are identical triplets, separated at birth. The 19-year-olds' joyous reunion catapults them to international fame, but it also unlocks an extraordinary and disturbing secret that goes beyond their own lives - and could transform our understanding of human nature forever... The soundtrack to Three Identical Strangers is quite a sweet, mellow affair. Composer Paul Saunderson delivers 29 tracks (57 min, 03 sec) of subtle, atmospheric music. While it's not an essential purchase, there are just enough engaging themes to make it at least worth checking out. Personally, apart from the occasional track ('Big Reveal', 'Didn't Fit In', 'All About Nurture'), while I did enjoy it, I couldn't help feeling that the music is best heard where it was intended, in the film. Listening to it on its own merits... it's good, but there's not a lot here that hasn't been heard before. Yes, it's beautiful at times. Yes, it's engaging and atmospheric. But it's also instantly forgettable. If you were moved by the film, then yes, this is a worthwhile purchase as a musical souvenir of the events it depicts. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
