Sony Music release The Upside original motion picture soundtrack with music by renowned film composer and newly-signed Sony Music Masterworks artist Rob Simonsen. Rob Simonsen (The Age of Adaline, The Front Runner, Foxcatcher, 500 Days of Summer) delivers a sweet, if somewhat unremarkable, score for The Upside. The main theme is memorable, but it's also used just a little too often. The rest of the music, while mellow, isn't the sort of thing I'd really want to listen to outside of the film.

'Dreams II',which revisits the main theme but with eerie overtones, was probably the one track that stood out as original.

Overall, a sweet and mellow score, but there's nothing here that will really grab your attention.
