Drama is Hajk's second album, following on from 2018's self-titled debut LP. This release both pulls at the heartstrings while urging you to dance away your sorrows. Critics have likened the band to everything from Fleetwood Mac and Aztec Camera to Dirty Projectors and Little Dragon... Drama is an impressive follow up to Hajk's debut album. A little more mature and solid, Drama consists of 10 songs (32 min, 59 sec). There's a diversity that permeates the LP that's hard not to admire. This could have been lazy, churned out collection of pop tracks, but the majority are memorable and could easily be singles in their own right. 'Dancing Like This' for me was the album's highlight. A catchy, upbeat and memorable song that pretty much sums up the band. 'Get it Right' stands out as another highlight. A smooth indie-pop track that is easy to soak up. 'Tokyo' is a little different, as it's an instrumental track, but it's probably the most beautiful piece here. The closing 'Snow Ball' is a wonderful mellow way to finish the album. If you've followed the band since their debut, then you'll want to add this to your collection. And if you're new to their sound you'll want to pick up their first album if you enjoy this. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
