Silva Screen release Dan Jones's atmospheric score to ITV’s gritty 6-part revenge thriller. Dark Heart is set in London and features an abrasive and disturbing storyline... The score for Dark Heart contains 36 tracks (1 hr, 14 min, 51 sec) and opens with 'Dark Heart Titles', the show's main theme, which is neatly woven throughout the score. It's most obvious in 'Vigilante', a track which brought to mind Michael Kamen and Eric Clapton's score for the 1985 BBC drama Edge of Darkness. Notable tracks include 'Exit Strategies'; 'Poles Apart' (which reminded me of the '90s theme to the Big Brother reality series; 'Happy Families' (which is in the same vein as Stephen Barton's music for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare); 'Private Matters' and the aforementioned 'Vigilante'. The music helps greatly to enhance the dark and gritty world of the series, but it's also a score that works well on its own merits. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
