Plaza Mayor Company Ltd releases Nascuy Linares's score for Los Silencios. In the movie two young girls and their mother arrive on a small island in the middle of the Amazon, on the border of Brazil, Colombia and Peru. They have fled the Colombian armed conflict, in which their father disappeared. The family is haunted by a strange secret and discover that the island is populated by ghosts... Nascuy Linares (El Silbon: Origenes, Embrace of the Serpent, Harmonizable) turns in an atmospheric and memorable score here, peppered with hauntingly surreal sounds. However, while this makes for a tense atmosphere in the movie, it just sounds a little jarring when listened to on its own merits. The album contains 13 tracks (21 min, 59 sec), making it more an EP than a full album. One for serious fans of the movie only. 3 Darren Rea Buy this item online
