Sony Music release the original soundtrack for the 2019 reboot of Hellboy, with music by Golden Globe®, GRAMMY® and BAFTA®-nominated composer Benjamin Wallfisch. From the pages of Mike Mignola’s seminal work, this action packed story sees the legendary half-demon superhero called to the English countryside to battle a trio of rampaging giants. There he discovers The Blood Queen, Nimue, a resurrected ancient sorceress thirsting to avenge a past betrayal. Suddenly caught in a clash between the supernatural and the human, Hellboy is now hell-bent on stopping Nimue without triggering the end of the world... If dark, gothic, action scores are your thing then you'll fall in love with what composer Benjamin Wallfisch delivers here. While there's plenty of epic, adrenaline pumping music on display, there's also a more melancholic vein that runs through the majority of this album's 12 tracks (48 min, 39 sec). Personal highlights include 'Psychic Migraine', 'Destroyer of All Things' and 'Cathedral Fight' for delivering emotive segments of music that grab your attention. There's also a heavy rock influence that plays through several of the tracks, and a Spanish version of The Scorpions's 'Rock Me [sic] Like a Hurricane'... which is interesting. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
