Film composer Daniel Tarrab releases his new LP, Otra Mirada (Another Look), a jazz-influenced, Tango album performed by Nestor Marconi (Bandoneon), Pablo Agri (Violin), Daniel Tarrab (Piano / Contrabass) and string orchestra comprised from the members of Orquesta Filarmonica Nacional... Composing eight original tangos (25 min, 20 sec) in song format and preserving the passion of the style, Daniel Tarrab also embraces the influence of jazz through harmonies. Otra Mirada is written as concert music that is open to improvisation and local influences. It's presented very much in a soundtrack style, making it instantly accessible to score lovers as well as jazz and tango collectors. There's so many intriguing themes packed into such a short space, that it holds your complete attention from beginning to end. A truly magical, rich album. It's just a shame it isn't a little longer. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
