Thank You Scientist is an eclectic and vibrant progressive rock band from New Jersey. Their new album, Terraformer, is released via Evil Ink Records...

Founded by guitarist and bandleader Tom Monda, Thank You Scientist self-released the Perils of Time Travel EP in 2011, before signing with Claudio Sanchez's label Evil Ink Records. Their 2012 full length debut, Maps of Non-Existent Places made it onto the Billboard Hard Rock and Heatseekers charts, and was eventually named “Album of the Week” by Revolver Magazine in 2014.

Tom Monda (guitar) and vocalist Salvatore Marrano are joined by the band's new line up, which includes Joe Fadem on drums, Sam Greenfield on Sax, and Joe Gullace on trumpet.

The album opens on the tight note with the instrumental track 'Wrinkle', which builds well to an incredible jazz/rock finale.

Other highlights on this 13 track (1 hr, 24 min, 12 sec) album include the upbeat and memorable 'Birdwatching' which has a haunting melody; 'Geronimo', a solid rock track that gets better the more times you hear it; 'Shatner's Lament' has a heavy jazz influence running through it; and 'Anchor', another strong rock anthem - probably this album's most impressive track.

The jazz/rock fusion works incredible well, delivering a new sound that makes Thank You Scientist a memorable outfit.
