Silva Screen Records release Ben and Nick Foster’s updated soundtrack for series two of Thunderbirds are Go, featuring synths, electronics and full orchestra, and following Barry Gray’s heritage with employing a vast array of brass and percussion... Ben and Nick Foster's score for the second series of Thunderbirds are Go delivers more epic themes and set pieces as were evident in their music for series one (vol 1 and 2). Once again the main backbone seems to be comprised of themes that wouldn't feel out of place in a David Arnold Bond score. Even if you've never watched the TV series, there are enough memorable and engaging themes here to make this an essential purchase. And for lovers of Barry Gray's original theme there's the occasional homage. 'Lady Sylvia', while heavily referencing Gray's music, also has a '40s romantic Hollywood movie score vibe. 'Max Versus The Hoodlums / The Hood Versus Kayo' is hugely influenced by the work of John Barry, and is one of my overall favourite tracks. The album consists of 52 tracks (1 hr, 17 min, 43 sec) representing fantastic value for money. But don't think you'll be getting plenty of filler material thrown in there too. This represents incredibly intricate and multilayered music from the first to the last track. 10 Darren Rea Buy this item online
