Geowulf's new LP, My Resignation, is a major step forward from 2018's Great Big Blue. At its heart it's a wonderfully upbeat modern pop album that is instantly accessible and memorable. The production on this album also makes it feel stronger and meatier than the previous release, which had a tendency to sound a little tinny and a lot like a release from the '60s. On My Resignation, the vocals are much more balanced and the music has a little more bass. The end result is an LP that sounds modern and fresh. Tracks like 'I See Red' and 'He's 31' are standout singles that once heard are hard to get out of your head. This is a summer album (even though it was released in October) that can be enjoyed all year round. It's full of energy and upbeat songs that you can revisit time and time again without getting tired of them. If anything, the more you return the stronger its attraction is. 9 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
