Plaza Mayor Company release Aleksandra Maghakyan's score for Oleg Stepchenko's The Mystery of the Dragon Seal. English traveller Jonathan Green is tasked, by Peter the Great, with mapping the Russian Far East. Green sets out on his long journey which will see him making breathtaking discoveries, encountering bizarre creatures, meeting Chinese Princesses, confronting deadly martial arts masters, and even the mightiest of all dragons, the Dragon King... Aleksandra Maghakyan really lets rip with her score for The Mystery of the Dragon Seal. At times epic in approach and at other points thoughtful and reflective, this is an album that soundtrack collector's will totally love - regardless of whether they've seen the movie or not. The music is dramatic and engaging, there isn't a wasted moment here, and certainly captures the essence of the settings in the movie. The score consists of 52 tracks (1 hr, 27 min, 58 sec), so you're certainly getting value for money. It also includes some "traditional" sounding dance themes ('Irish Dance (Tavern)'; 'Gopak (dance)') which makes for a nice touch. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
