Vanishing Lands is mainly a dream pop album which harkens back to the '80s music scene. There's a little flavour of Kate Bush woven throughout these 10 songs (33 min, 16 sec); a dreamy, pop sensibility that is engaging, timeless, but I couldn't help feeling I'd heard it all before.

While Dog in the Snow craft intricate, melodic songs there's not a great deal here to get excited about. And, once you've heard it there's not a great deal that sticks with you. A disposable album that is a nice diversion, but don't expect to be digging this out in months or years to come.
