Plaza Mayor Company release Konstantinos Lyrakis and Cultural Bastards original score for 2050: Customize Your Lover. The movie is set in a near future where sex with realistic looking human robots is a reality. A family man, struggling to hold it all together, discovers a hidden parlour that offers a solution... Sexbots. In Princeton Holt’s 2050, we get to see a glimpse of “the future” (which probably due to budget restraints looks remarkably like 2019). In this new world there are machines that have become identical in appearance to actual human beings - right down to realistic flesh, hair and even sweat... Konstantinos Lyrakis and Cultural Bastards certainly deliver a lot of diversity with their score for 2050: Customize Your Lover. It opens with 'On the Way Home', a richly layered classical piano piece. There are a number of other piano piece scattered throughout the score. I'm assuming that these are composed by Lyrakis, with the electronic music being provided by Cultural Bastards. Of these, the jazzy and catchy 'Old Times' is the standout track. The album is more an EP than it is a full blown LP, coming in at just 9 tracks (20 min, 59 sec). But there's something rather engaging about the whole thing. The piano pieces are just lovely, mellow pieces, while the electronic "songs" are intriguing futuristic compositions that really stand out. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
