Radnor & Lee's new LP, Golden State, is released through Flower Moon Records. The album represents a collection of laid back indie folk songs... Golden State is a slow burner. While I enjoyed it on the first play through, I wouldn't say it was an instant classic. But a few days later, and several more plays, and I was hooked. The duo have a knack for writing middle of the road songs that stay with you. While they're not the world's greatest singers, there's a raw passion here that comes to the fore. 'Outside In' sees the duo deliver overlapping harmonies that shouldn't work, but somehow they do and wonderfully so. The album contains 11 songs (43 min, 51 sec) with plenty of diversity within the indie folk genre. The LP concludes with 'Welcome to Our House', which sounds like it should be an opening number... the beauty of it is that it sucks you into starting the album from the beginning. A well produced, uplifting album that keeps on getting better. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
