Manchester based electronic experimental group Overrider self release Cyc|er, a modern genre-blending album which examines defiance in the face of isolation, depression and hopelessness - intensely relevant for the times we’re living through... Drawing on influence from Massive Attack, Oceansize, NIN, and Curve, Overrider's Cyc|er is designed to sound like a transmission from deep space. As modern electronic releases go, you can't get more intense as this. Tracks like 'Quarter|ess' feel like they have been torn apart, layer by layer and then reworked by someone trying to squeeze out all of the human creativity. While, in stark contrast 'Black_hatch' is an engaging ambient piece which is wrapped in addition layers of electronic manipulation. You'll certainly have strong feelings about this release. But if you're a follower of electronic rock based outfits there's plenty to sink your teeth into here. 7 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
