Sister duo Larkin Poe have released their new album, Self Made Man via their own label, Tricki-Woo Records. It's ambitious and represents an eclectic, energetic sound. The country and blues roots shine through, but this is an LP that throws the net wide when it comes to the genres it touches upon. The vocals are strong and instantly recognisable and the mix of songs means that there's always a refreshing change of pace just around the corner. The album contains 11 tracks (34 min, 58 sec) and, with its heavy leanings towards country rock, this is sure to please the sisters fan base while dragging in plenty of new followers. If you're looking for something new, a band who refuse to be pigeonholed, then Larkin Poe could be what you're looking for. 7 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
