Sony Music release two album's for the animated movie Animal Crackers. There's the original score by Bear McCreary and the soundtrack containing songs from the film. The soundtrack features new original music from Toad the Wet Sprocket, Ian McKellen, Howard Jones and more, as well as well-loved music heard in the film from artists including Michael Bublé, Huey Lewis & the News and Queen. The movie sees a family inherit a neglected circus... along with a magical box of animal crackers that turn whoever eats one into a real, live animal... The soundtrack for Animal Crackers features songs by Queen, Fleur East, Huey Lewis & the News, Michael Bublé and others. It also features three segments of the score by Bear McCreary. While it's not an essential purchase, young fans of the movie will no doubt get a huge blast out of hearing the songs from the movie. Overall, there wasn't much here to get overly excited about, just a pretty average collection of songs. The only stand out moments are Queen's contribution (but then it's a classic song anyway) and Fleur East's 'Like That'. Ian McKellen's songs are fun, but otherwise it's a pretty dry album.
